Reddish brown is the shade that flatters the widest range of complexions. Warmer than black, which can be stark against pale and mid tones and pull colour out of the face. More interesting than a flat mid-brown. In daylight it shows copper; under lamps it reads as a rich, deep brown. Both look expensive.
It's also a colour most people won't commit to on their own hair — reaching it means lifting and depositing, and red is the fastest colour of all to fade. Here it doesn't fade, and it comes off at the end of the day.
Why body wave suits this colour
Waves are what show a colour off. As the hair moves, light and shadow travel through the S-pattern, so the copper tones catch and the browns recede — the shade reads as dimensional rather than as a single block. On dead-straight hair the same colour can look flat and dyed.
Body wave is also the most forgiving texture to live with. It looks styled on days you've done nothing, hides a slightly off parting, and survives being slept on.
13x6 lace front
Thirteen inches across, six inches back — the deepest parting space we offer. A deep middle part stays convincing all the way through, you can sweep it heavily to one side, or push it back off the face, all landing on lace so the parting reads as scalp wherever you put it.
That matters more on a coloured wig than a black one. Warm tones draw the eye straight to the parting, and a shallower closure shows its edge the moment you move the part or turn your head.
Two densities, ten lengths
- 180% — natural, everyday fullness. Lightest to wear and the easiest to pass off as your own hair.
- 200% — fuller through the lengths, and the better choice past 30 inches where thin ends start to show.
Lengths run 18 to 36 inches. 18"–22" sits between the collarbone and shoulder. 24"–30" runs through the mid-back to the waist. 32"–36" is full statement length. Body wave loses an inch or two to the wave pattern, so take the longer option if you're between two.
Wigs arrive compressed from packaging and look thinner and shorter than expected — shake it out and let it hang before judging it.

Caring for coloured hair
Red tones fade faster than any other colour, and heat and water are what strip them. Wash sparingly, in cool water, with a sulphate-free colour-safe shampoo. Never brush the wave out dry — detangle wet, with conditioner in, from the ends upward. Condition through the mid-lengths and ends rather than the roots, and air dry on a stand. Heat protectant every time, moderate temperatures. At 30 inches and above, braid it loosely at night so the ends don't rub.

Length and shrinkage guide
All our lengths are measured stretched. Textured hair sits shorter than its stated measurement once it is dry:
- Straight — almost no shrinkage. What you order is what you see.
- Body wave — an inch or two shorter.
- Deep wave and water wave — roughly a fifth to a quarter shorter.
- Curly and kinky curly — up to half. A 20 inch curly piece can sit at 10 inches once dry.
If you are between two lengths, take the longer one. Length disappointment is the commonest reason wigs get sent back, and sizing up costs nothing.

Choosing your cap
The cap decides how convincing the wig looks and how much skill it takes to put on. Neither end of this list is better — they suit different people.
- 4x4 closure — the simplest to install and the hardest to get wrong. One parting position. The sensible first wig.
- 4x6, 4x7 and 5x5 closure — a wider lace area, so you can move your parting without exposing the cap.
- 13x4 frontal — ear to ear coverage with real parting space. Middle part, deep side sweep, or moved between wears.
- 13x5 and 13x6 frontal — five or six inches of depth, so a deep middle part stays convincing all the way back.
- 360 frontal — lace around the whole perimeter. The only option if you want high ponytails and updos.
- V-part and half wigs — no lace at all. Your own hair is left out to blend, so the parting is genuinely your scalp.
Frontals give the most freedom and take the most practice. Closures are quicker, more forgiving, and often wearable glueless with straps and combs.
Care
A human hair wig has no scalp feeding it oil, so the ends dry out faster than your own hair would. Looking after it is the difference between a wig that lasts a season and one that lasts years.
- Detangle from the ends upward, never from the roots down. On textured hair, do it wet with conditioner in — dry brushing pulls the wave or curl pattern out permanently.
- Wash sparingly with a sulphate-free shampoo, in sections rather than piling it up.
- Condition through the mid-lengths and ends rather than the roots, and use a weekly mask.
- Air dry on a stand. Allow plenty of time at higher densities — a dense wig put away damp is how wigs develop a smell.
- Heat protectant every time, at moderate temperatures. Repeated high heat wears a wig out faster than anything else.
- Refresh between wears with water and a little conditioner in a spray bottle rather than rewashing.
- Handle lace gently at the hairline, and store on a stand so the shape holds.
On coloured hair: reds and blondes fade fastest. Wash in cool water, and use a purple toning shampoo every few washes on blonde and highlighted pieces.
