Loose deep wave sits in the sweet spot between body wave and a proper curl — waves with real definition and depth, but open enough to still swing and move rather than sitting in a fixed pattern. It's the texture that looks like you've had it professionally done and then slept on it well.
13x6 HD lace
Six inches of parting depth rather than the usual four. That extra distance is what lets a deep middle part stay convincing all the way back, and gives you room to sweep it to one side or push it off the face entirely.
The lace is HD — finer and more transparent than standard lace, so once it's laid and the excess trimmed it presses against the skin instead of hovering above it as a visible edge. On a textured wig that matters, because waves draw the eye upward to the parting rather than away from it.
Two densities
- 200% — full and substantial, already well above the 150-180% most of the market sells. Light enough to wear comfortably all day.
- 230% — noticeably thicker, with more weight through the waves. The better choice at longer lengths, where waves compress and lower density leaves the ends looking thin.
Thirteen lengths, 18 to 42 inches
18" to 24" sits between the collarbone and mid-back — the range that's easiest to live with day to day. 26" to 32" runs through the mid-back to the waist. 34" and beyond is full statement length, and 42 inches is about as long as human hair wigs are made.
Account for shrinkage. Deep wave loses roughly a fifth to a quarter of its stretched measurement once it's dry and in its natural state, so a 30" wig sits closer to 23". If you have a target length in mind, size up — this is the commonest reason textured wigs get returned.
Wigs also arrive compressed from packaging and look thinner and shorter than expected. Shake it out and let it hang before judging it.
Why it's worth buying
- The texture does the styling for you. Loose deep wave looks intentional straight out of the box, and it's forgiving of a day-three refresh.
- Six inches of parting freedom. One wig covers middle-part, side-part and off-the-face looks.
- Density above market standard. Even the lighter option here is thicker than most wigs sold.
- Length you can't grow. Waist-length hair takes most people the better part of a decade, and keeping it in condition is its own project.
- Human hair. Straighten it for a completely different look, then wash it back to the wave.
- It protects your own hair. No heat, no colour, no daily manipulation underneath.
Care
- Never brush it dry. Detangle wet, with conditioner in, using fingers or a wide-tooth comb from the ends upward. Dry brushing pulls the wave out permanently.
- Wash in sections with a sulphate-free shampoo, squeezing rather than scrubbing, and let water run downward through the hair.
- Condition generously through the mid-lengths and ends rather than the roots. A leave-in does more for wave definition than any product marketed for it.
- Air dry or diffuse on low, scrunching rather than rubbing.
- Refresh, don't rewash. Water and a little conditioner in a spray bottle brings the waves back between wears.
- At 30 inches and above, braid it loosely at night so the ends don't rub.
Defined waves, deep parting, and length you'd otherwise wait years for.
Length and shrinkage guide
All our lengths are measured stretched. Textured hair sits shorter than its stated measurement once it is dry:
- Straight — almost no shrinkage. What you order is what you see.
- Body wave — an inch or two shorter.
- Deep wave and water wave — roughly a fifth to a quarter shorter.
- Curly and kinky curly — up to half. A 20 inch curly piece can sit at 10 inches once dry.
If you are between two lengths, take the longer one. Length disappointment is the commonest reason wigs get sent back, and sizing up costs nothing.

Choosing your cap
The cap decides how convincing the wig looks and how much skill it takes to put on. Neither end of this list is better — they suit different people.
- 4x4 closure — the simplest to install and the hardest to get wrong. One parting position. The sensible first wig.
- 4x6, 4x7 and 5x5 closure — a wider lace area, so you can move your parting without exposing the cap.
- 13x4 frontal — ear to ear coverage with real parting space. Middle part, deep side sweep, or moved between wears.
- 13x5 and 13x6 frontal — five or six inches of depth, so a deep middle part stays convincing all the way back.
- 360 frontal — lace around the whole perimeter. The only option if you want high ponytails and updos.
- V-part and half wigs — no lace at all. Your own hair is left out to blend, so the parting is genuinely your scalp.
Frontals give the most freedom and take the most practice. Closures are quicker, more forgiving, and often wearable glueless with straps and combs.
Care
A human hair wig has no scalp feeding it oil, so the ends dry out faster than your own hair would. Looking after it is the difference between a wig that lasts a season and one that lasts years.
- Detangle from the ends upward, never from the roots down. On textured hair, do it wet with conditioner in — dry brushing pulls the wave or curl pattern out permanently.
- Wash sparingly with a sulphate-free shampoo, in sections rather than piling it up.
- Condition through the mid-lengths and ends rather than the roots, and use a weekly mask.
- Air dry on a stand. Allow plenty of time at higher densities — a dense wig put away damp is how wigs develop a smell.
- Heat protectant every time, at moderate temperatures. Repeated high heat wears a wig out faster than anything else.
- Refresh between wears with water and a little conditioner in a spray bottle rather than rewashing.
- Handle lace gently at the hairline, and store on a stand so the shape holds.
On coloured hair: reds and blondes fade fastest. Wash in cool water, and use a purple toning shampoo every few washes on blonde and highlighted pieces.
