Every listing states exactly what the piece is made of, so you know what you are wearing:

• Gemstones — the stone, its size or carat weight where relevant, and any treatment. Many gemstones are routinely enhanced by heat or other processes; where a stone has been treated, the listing says so.
• Pearls — whether natural, cultured or imitation, and whether freshwater or saltwater. Pearls are natural products, so size, shape and lustre vary slightly from piece to piece.
• Metals — the metal and its fineness, and whether it is solid or plated. Plated finishes wear with time; solid precious metals do not.

Colours can look slightly different on different screens and in different light. If you need an exact detail before ordering, contact us.

• Necklaces — 40 to 45cm sits at the base of the neck, 50cm at the collarbone, 60cm and longer below it.
• Bracelets — measure your wrist snugly and add 1.5 to 2cm for a comfortable fit.
• Rings — measure a ring you already wear on the same finger, or have your finger sized by a jeweller. Fingers are larger when warm and later in the day.
• Earrings — each listing gives the drop length and fitting type.

• Last on, first off. Put jewellery on after perfume, hairspray and moisturiser, and take it off before swimming, bathing or exercise.
• Pearls are soft and porous. Wipe them with a soft, dry cloth after wearing, never use jewellery cleaner or ultrasonic cleaners on them, and store them flat rather than hanging.
• Gemstones vary in hardness. Store pieces separately so harder stones do not scratch softer ones or pearls.
• Plated metals last longer kept dry and away from chemicals.
• Store each piece in its pouch or box, away from direct sunlight.

Unworn jewellery in its original packaging can be returned within 14 days of delivery. For hygiene reasons, pierced earrings cannot be returned once the seal or backing has been removed.
