Body Wave Human Hair Bundle
Body wave is the most wearable texture there is — a soft, open S-wave that gives movement and body without committing you to a curl. It blends easily with natural hair, it photographs well, and it looks styled even on the days you've done nothing to it.
These are single bundles of human hair, 100g each, in natural black. Sewn, bonded or clipped into your own hair, they add length and thickness that moves the way your hair does — no cap, no lace to lay, no hairline to match.
How many bundles do you need?
Each bundle here is 100g, and you buy them individually — so you control exactly how much you're adding.
- One bundle — a top-up. Adds thickness to a ponytail, fills out thin ends, or gives you a bit more body without a full install.
- Three bundles — the standard full head, and enough for anything up to about 22 inches.
- Four bundles — for 24 inches and above. Longer hair needs more weight at the bottom, or the ends look thin and see-through.
You can buy all the same length for a blunt, uniform finish, or mix lengths for built-in layers — shorter bundles underneath, longest on top, which gives a graduated shape without a stylist cutting layers in afterwards.
Find your length
Sixteen inches through to twenty-eight. Body wave loses a little visible length to the wave pattern, so expect it to sit slightly shorter than the stated measurement — usually an inch or two. If you're between sizes, go longer.
One thing worth knowing: bundles arrive compressed from packaging and can look shorter and thinner than expected out of the packet. Shake them out and let them hang before you judge — they open up considerably.
Why bundles rather than a wig
- They blend with your own hair. Your parting is your parting, your hairline is your hairline. Nothing to match, nothing to lay, no lace for anyone to spot.
- You control the density. Add a bundle for more, hold one back for less. A wig is whatever density it came as.
- They're cheaper per install. No cap or frontal to pay for, and a good sew-in lasts six to eight weeks.
- They're reusable. Take them out, wash them, reinstall. The same bundles come back several times.
- They take colour going darker. Natural black can be dyed to browns and darker shades. It won't lift lighter without bleaching, so if you want blonde, start with a lighter base.
Installation
Wefts can be sewn onto braided cornrows for the longest-lasting install, bonded with adhesive for a quicker one, or sewn onto clips to make removable pieces you take out each night. A sew-in is best done by a stylist unless you've done it before; clip-ins you can make up yourself in an evening.
Care
Wash every couple of weeks, or sooner with heavy product use. Sulphate-free shampoo, condition through the mid-lengths and ends rather than the tracks, and air dry where possible. Detangle from the ends upward with a wide-tooth comb, and never brush the waves out dry. Use a heat protectant before hot tools and keep temperatures moderate — the hair isn't attached to a scalp producing new oils, so it doesn't recover the way your own hair does. Braid it loosely or tie it up at night to stop the ends rubbing.

Length and shrinkage guide
All our lengths are measured stretched. Textured hair sits shorter than its stated measurement once it is dry:
- Straight — almost no shrinkage. What you order is what you see.
- Body wave — an inch or two shorter.
- Deep wave and water wave — roughly a fifth to a quarter shorter.
- Curly and kinky curly — up to half. A 20 inch curly piece can sit at 10 inches once dry.
If you are between two lengths, take the longer one. Length disappointment is the commonest reason wigs get sent back, and sizing up costs nothing.
Wigs also arrive compressed from packaging and look thinner and shorter than expected. Shake it out and let it hang before judging it.
Choosing your cap
The cap decides how convincing the wig looks and how much skill it takes to put on. Neither end of this list is better — they suit different people.
- 4x4 closure — the simplest to install and the hardest to get wrong. One parting position. The sensible first wig.
- 4x6, 4x7 and 5x5 closure — a wider lace area, so you can move your parting without exposing the cap.
- 13x4 frontal — ear to ear coverage with real parting space. Middle part, deep side sweep, or moved between wears.
- 13x5 and 13x6 frontal — five or six inches of depth, so a deep middle part stays convincing all the way back.
- 360 frontal — lace around the whole perimeter. The only option if you want high ponytails and updos.
- V-part and half wigs — no lace at all. Your own hair is left out to blend, so the parting is genuinely your scalp.
Frontals give the most freedom and take the most practice. Closures are quicker, more forgiving, and often wearable glueless with straps and combs.
Care
A human hair wig has no scalp feeding it oil, so the ends dry out faster than your own hair would. Looking after it is the difference between a wig that lasts a season and one that lasts years.
- Detangle from the ends upward, never from the roots down. On textured hair, do it wet with conditioner in — dry brushing pulls the wave or curl pattern out permanently.
- Wash sparingly with a sulphate-free shampoo, in sections rather than piling it up.
- Condition through the mid-lengths and ends rather than the roots, and use a weekly mask.
- Air dry on a stand. Allow plenty of time at higher densities — a dense wig put away damp is how wigs develop a smell.
- Heat protectant every time, at moderate temperatures. Repeated high heat wears a wig out faster than anything else.
- Refresh between wears with water and a little conditioner in a spray bottle rather than rewashing.
- Handle lace gently at the hairline, and store on a stand so the shape holds.
On coloured hair: reds and blondes fade fastest. Wash in cool water, and use a purple toning shampoo every few washes on blonde and highlighted pieces.
