Stretched Length

Natural black, soft body wave, HD lace. This is the wig that doesn't ask anyone to suspend disbelief — and with three densities, two cap constructions and twelve lengths, it's the widest range of specifications we sell in one product.

Choose your cap

  • 13x4 HD frontal — ear-to-ear coverage with four inches of parting depth. The classic frontal, straightforward to install and the more forgiving of the two.
  • 13x6 HD frontal — six inches back instead of four. Enough depth that a deep middle part stays convincing all the way through, and enough room to push hair off the face.

Both use HD lace, which is finer and more transparent than standard lace. Laid and trimmed properly it presses against the skin rather than hovering above it as a visible edge.

Choose your density

  • 200% — full and substantial, already thicker than most of the market, which tops out at 150% to 180%. Lightest of the three to wear all day.
  • 250% — noticeably fuller with real body from root to tip.
  • 300% — the maximum. Big hair, spectacular in photographs, and genuinely heavy. Worth it at the longest lengths where the ends need the weight; less comfortable if you wear a wig at a desk all day.

The general rule: the longer the hair, the more density it needs. Thin ends are what give a wig away, and at 36 inches and beyond a lower density will look sparse at the tips no matter how good the hair is.

Twelve lengths, 20 to 42 inches

20" to 24" sits between the collarbone and mid-back — the everyday range. 26" to 32" runs through the mid-back to the waist. 34" and beyond is statement length, and at 42 inches it's about as long as human hair wigs come.

Body wave loses an inch or two of visible length to the wave pattern, so if you're between two lengths, take the longer one. Wigs also arrive compressed from packaging and look thinner and shorter than expected — shake it out and let it hang before judging it.

Why body wave, and why black

Body wave is the most wearable texture there is. An open, gentle S that adds movement without committing you to a curl, forgiving of a day-three refresh and of being slept on, and it looks styled on days you've done nothing to it.

Natural black needs no upkeep at all — nothing to tone, nothing that fades, nothing that goes brassy. It's also the base for anything you want to do later, since it takes colour going darker without difficulty.

Why it's worth buying

  • You can specify exactly what you want. Three densities, two caps, twelve lengths — 72 combinations, so you're not settling for the nearest option.
  • Density well above market standard. Even the lightest option here is thicker than most wigs sold.
  • A hairline that holds up close. HD lace on a full frontal is the combination that survives being looked at.
  • No colour maintenance. Natural black is the one shade that never needs anything doing to it.
  • Human hair. Straighten it, wave it, curl it, then wash it back.
  • It protects your own hair. No heat, no colour, no daily manipulation underneath.

Care

Never brush the wave out dry — detangle wet, with conditioner in, from the ends upward. Wash with a sulphate-free shampoo in sections rather than piling it up, condition through the mid-lengths and ends rather than the roots, and air dry on a stand. At 300% allow plenty of drying time; a dense wig put away damp is how wigs develop a smell. Use a heat protectant and keep temperatures moderate. At 30 inches and above, tie it back or braid it loosely at night so the ends don't rub. Handle the HD lace gently at the hairline.

Whatever cap, density and length you want, in the colour that never needs maintaining.

Length and shrinkage guide

All our lengths are measured stretched. Textured hair sits shorter than its stated measurement once it is dry:

  • Straight — almost no shrinkage. What you order is what you see.
  • Body wave — an inch or two shorter.
  • Deep wave and water wave — roughly a fifth to a quarter shorter.
  • Curly and kinky curly — up to half. A 20 inch curly piece can sit at 10 inches once dry.

If you are between two lengths, take the longer one. Length disappointment is the commonest reason wigs get sent back, and sizing up costs nothing.

Wigs also arrive compressed from packaging and look thinner and shorter than expected. Shake it out and let it hang before judging it.

Choosing your cap

The cap decides how convincing the wig looks and how much skill it takes to put on. Neither end of this list is better — they suit different people.

  • 4x4 closure — the simplest to install and the hardest to get wrong. One parting position. The sensible first wig.
  • 4x6, 4x7 and 5x5 closure — a wider lace area, so you can move your parting without exposing the cap.
  • 13x4 frontal — ear to ear coverage with real parting space. Middle part, deep side sweep, or moved between wears.
  • 13x5 and 13x6 frontal — five or six inches of depth, so a deep middle part stays convincing all the way back.
  • 360 frontal — lace around the whole perimeter. The only option if you want high ponytails and updos.
  • V-part and half wigs — no lace at all. Your own hair is left out to blend, so the parting is genuinely your scalp.

Frontals give the most freedom and take the most practice. Closures are quicker, more forgiving, and often wearable glueless with straps and combs.

Care

A human hair wig has no scalp feeding it oil, so the ends dry out faster than your own hair would. Looking after it is the difference between a wig that lasts a season and one that lasts years.

  • Detangle from the ends upward, never from the roots down. On textured hair, do it wet with conditioner in — dry brushing pulls the wave or curl pattern out permanently.
  • Wash sparingly with a sulphate-free shampoo, in sections rather than piling it up.
  • Condition through the mid-lengths and ends rather than the roots, and use a weekly mask.
  • Air dry on a stand. Allow plenty of time at higher densities — a dense wig put away damp is how wigs develop a smell.
  • Heat protectant every time, at moderate temperatures. Repeated high heat wears a wig out faster than anything else.
  • Refresh between wears with water and a little conditioner in a spray bottle rather than rewashing.
  • Handle lace gently at the hairline, and store on a stand so the shape holds.

On coloured hair: reds and blondes fade fastest. Wash in cool water, and use a purple toning shampoo every few washes on blonde and highlighted pieces.
