P4/27 is the colour people pay a fortune for and then spend a fortune maintaining. A medium brown base shot through with honey blonde — not one flat shade but two working against each other, so the hair catches light and shows depth as it moves.

At 26 and 28 inches, that effect has room to do what it's meant to. Highlights work through contrast, and contrast needs distance: the longer the hair, the further the blonde can travel through the brown before it resolves. On short hair a highlight is an accent.
