Long hair is a commitment. Growing it takes years, keeping it healthy takes money, and the moment you want a change you're back to square one. This wig skips all of that — mid-back to waist-length hair, on in minutes, off when you're done.
It's human hair, which is the part that matters at this length. Synthetic gives itself away past 30 inches: it tangles at the nape, catches the light wrong, and frizzes at the ends within a fortnight. Human hair falls with real weight, takes heat, and still looks like hair on the eighth wear.
Straight or body wave
- Straight — the sleek, polished, glass-hair finish. Sharp, modern and quietly expensive-looking. It also barely shrinks, so the length you order is the length you get.
- Body wave — a soft, open S-wave with movement and volume. More forgiving day to day, and it disguises the join between wefts better at long lengths.
Choose your cap
- 13x6 frontal — six inches of parting depth. Deep middle parts, side sweeps and hair pulled back off the face all stay convincing from every angle.
- 13x5 frontal — ear-to-ear coverage with a slightly shallower parting area. The practical middle ground, and usually the easiest to install well.
- 360 frontal — lace around the entire perimeter. The one to choose if you want high ponytails or updos, since there's no cap edge to hide at the back.
Find your length
Ten lengths from 20 to 38 inches, measured stretched. 20"–24" sits around the collarbone and mid-back — the everyday range, light to wear and simple to manage. 26"–32" runs from mid-back to the waist and is where the drama starts. 34"–38" is full statement length for events, shoots and content days.
Body wave loses an inch or two to the wave pattern; straight loses almost nothing. Wigs also arrive compressed from packaging and look thinner than expected — shake it out and let it hang before judging it.

Care
Detangle from the ends upward, never from the roots — at these lengths that single habit does more for longevity than anything else. Use a heat protectant and keep temperatures moderate. Wash with a sulphate-free shampoo, condition the mid-lengths and ends rather than the roots, and air dry on a stand.
A weekly deep-conditioning mask matters more here than on shorter hair: a wig has no scalp feeding it oil, so the ends are the first thing to go dry. Store it on a stand or in a silk bag between wears so the ends don't rub against your clothes, and braid it loosely at night.

Length and shrinkage guide
All our lengths are measured stretched. Textured hair sits shorter than its stated measurement once it is dry:
- Straight — almost no shrinkage. What you order is what you see.
- Body wave — an inch or two shorter.
- Deep wave and water wave — roughly a fifth to a quarter shorter.
- Curly and kinky curly — up to half. A 20 inch curly piece can sit at 10 inches once dry.
If you are between two lengths, take the longer one. Length disappointment is the commonest reason wigs get sent back, and sizing up costs nothing.
Wigs also arrive compressed from packaging and look thinner and shorter than expected. Shake it out and let it hang before judging it.
Choosing your cap
The cap decides how convincing the wig looks and how much skill it takes to put on. Neither end of this list is better — they suit different people.
- 4x4 closure — the simplest to install and the hardest to get wrong. One parting position. The sensible first wig.
- 4x6, 4x7 and 5x5 closure — a wider lace area, so you can move your parting without exposing the cap.
- 13x4 frontal — ear to ear coverage with real parting space. Middle part, deep side sweep, or moved between wears.
- 13x5 and 13x6 frontal — five or six inches of depth, so a deep middle part stays convincing all the way back.
- 360 frontal — lace around the whole perimeter. The only option if you want high ponytails and updos.
- V-part and half wigs — no lace at all. Your own hair is left out to blend, so the parting is genuinely your scalp.
Frontals give the most freedom and take the most practice. Closures are quicker, more forgiving, and often wearable glueless with straps and combs.
Care
A human hair wig has no scalp feeding it oil, so the ends dry out faster than your own hair would. Looking after it is the difference between a wig that lasts a season and one that lasts years.
- Detangle from the ends upward, never from the roots down. On textured hair, do it wet with conditioner in — dry brushing pulls the wave or curl pattern out permanently.
- Wash sparingly with a sulphate-free shampoo, in sections rather than piling it up.
- Condition through the mid-lengths and ends rather than the roots, and use a weekly mask.
- Air dry on a stand. Allow plenty of time at higher densities — a dense wig put away damp is how wigs develop a smell.
- Heat protectant every time, at moderate temperatures. Repeated high heat wears a wig out faster than anything else.
- Refresh between wears with water and a little conditioner in a spray bottle rather than rewashing.
- Handle lace gently at the hairline, and store on a stand so the shape holds.
On coloured hair: reds and blondes fade fastest. Wash in cool water, and use a purple toning shampoo every few washes on blonde and highlighted pieces.
